Mrs. Theresa Petrov
I serve as the District Library Media Specialist for Ridgefield Public Schools.
I began teaching high school English in 2001 and became a school librarian in 2007. Over my teaching career I have held many extracurricular positions such as: freshman class advisor, newspaper advisor, color guard advisor, academic decathlon co-advisor, debate team advisor and student library council. One of my favorite activities to run is the middle school Battle of the Books program.
I served 8 years in the New Jersey Army National Guard.
My educational philosophy can be summed up by these literary quotes:
"It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be." (J.K. Rowling)
"My advice is, never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time." (Charles Dickens)
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” (Dr. Seuss)
