My philosophy of education is to promote a safe comfortable atmosphere that promotes learning and personal development.  My passion for teaching is strong and I am looking forward to sharing my business knowledge and my experience as an entrepreneur.  I am involved the Career Technology Education (CTE) program and am a DECA advisor.

The CTE program is tailored to educate students to acquire the necessary work ready skills needed to compete in the workforce.  CTE offers opportunities for career awareness and preparation by providing relevant academic and technical knowledge for students to succeed.  The comprehensive program aligns its course study with emerging and projected labor market needs.

The students involved in the CTE program have the opportunity to be involved in our DECA Chapter and the below class education trips:

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.  DECA’s Comprehensive Learning Program is integrated in and out of the classroom to provide the students with various experiences that include:

• Authentic, experiential learning methods to prepare members for college and careers.
• DECA members put their knowledge into action through rigorous project-based activities that require creative solutions with practical outcomes.
• Connects to Business - Partnerships with businesses at local and broader levels provide DECA members realistic insight into industry and promote meaningful, relevant learning.
• Promotes Competition - As in the global economy, a spark of competition drives DECA members to excel and improve their performance.

The DECA experience is about students being able to explore their options, discovering new paths and experiencing opportunities that they never know existed.  Members have the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skills learned in the classroom through innovative challenges.  DECA will help prepare our students to be academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, and experienced leaders.
