Hello! My name is Ms. Alexandra (Alex) Gleason. I am excited to be your child's preschool teacher this school year. I began teaching at Shaler Academy in January 2022. For the past 5 years, I've been using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to help young individuals on the autism spectrum achieve their goals. I graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Teacher of Students with Disabilities. 

In our classroom, we promote independence, creativity, diversity and social skills. In addition, we will help your child thrive in their individualized academic curriculum. I believe every child has the right to an education. I also believe that every child, despite their learning disability, can and will be able to learn. The key is to dig deep into the way a child thinks and ultilize it to help facilitate their learning. I look forward to working with you and your child this year.
