Hello and welcome. I am Dimitri Mataras, a Physical Education and Drivers Education teacher at Ridgefield Memorial High School! Besides a life-long love for physical activity and sports, I found a calling to teach students to live a healthy and active lifestyle to last and benefit them in their futures. A love for physical activity comes from learning and having fun learning new skills, sports, and fields within sports or activities to partake in beyond the classroom. Besides physical education, I am the head coach for the girls' soccer team at the high school. A healthy and comfortable environment is of utmost importance and good communication is supported and encouraged.
