• Peer Mediation

Peer mediation is problem solving by youth with youth. It is a process by which two or more students involved in a dispute meet in a private, safe and confidential setting to work out problems with the assistance of a trained student mediator.

We currently have 14 students from grades 7 and 8 who are peer mediators at Slocum Skewes. The peer mediators go out during recess on Mondays to build relationship with 3rd and 4th graders and to help resolve any problems or dispute between students.
