A program that educators call blended learning is changing the structure of Ridgefield classrooms where chalkboards, lab reports, and worksheets have given way to virtual lessons on laptop screens. The program integrates face-to-face instruction with Web-based learning and allows children to work at their own pace while teachers simultaneously receive progress reports. Did you know that despite being burdened by rumor, hearsay and gossip, our district deals in facts? Those facts are… 1) Our schools operate within state-imposed budget caps. 2) Our personnel spending has been less than previous years. 3) Our administrative spending is below state-imposed caps. 4) Per the State of NJ, our district operates at an average deficit of $1.2 million. 5) The local school district has a major impact on home value. 6) We could not be more responsible to our taxpayers, but we could be more responsible to our students! We can soar for 75¢ a day. We think our students are worth it. We believe you do too. Vote on November 8, 2016. Click the image to read more...
