Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Mike Lennox
The 2020-2021 school year will be my 21st year in education. I spent my first 16 years working at Ridgefield Memorial High School - this will be my fifth year at Slocum Skewes. I am proud to call Ridgefield Public Schools my home, and I am looking forward to another successful school year working with the students of Ridgefield.
One of the exciting, and challenging, aspects of working in education is the fact that the landscape changes on a yearly basis. Each year brings with it new ideas, new experiences, and a new crop of students who are eager to learn and succeed. I take great pride in working with staff and other administrators to create the most exciting, engaging, and relevant learning environments for our students. I want our students to be excited about coming to school. I want our students to take risks. I want our students to learn to express themselves, pose relevant questions, and engage in productive debate. I want our students to find a passion and be as successful as they can possibly be. I want our students to demonstrate respect for all. I want our students to believe in themselves.
Every school contains computers, technology, books, and procedures. What makes Slocum Skewes so special is the students and the staff, the parents, and the community. I have always felt a part of something special in Ridgefield, and I look forward to advancing that even more this year.
I am excited to ride along with your children on the journey that is the 2020-2021 school year.
